Pesquisa em Neurodegeneração: Este projeto, financiado integralmente, esteve ativo de 2019 a 2024 e envolveu a colaboração entre a Universidade da Califórnia, São Francisco (UCSF) e a Universidade de São Paulo - Fundação Faculdade de Medicina, entre outras instituições sul-americanas. Auxílio para Planejamento: Iniciativa Brasil-Americana em Neuroimagem para Identificação Precoce da Depressão na Adolescência (BRAIN-IDEA): Este projeto esteve ativo de 2020 a 2022 e teve como foco o uso de neuroimagem para identificar marcadores precoces de depressão em adolescentes. Foi uma colaboração entre a Universidade da Califórnia, Davis, e a Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, financiada pelo Instituto Nacional de Saúde Mental (NIMH) e pelo Centro Internacional Fogarty. Iniciativa de Financiamento Paralelo FAPESP-NIH: O NIH e a FAPESP assinaram um memorando de entendimento para incentivar a pesquisa colaborativa, apoiando conjuntamente projetos de pesquisa R01 bem-sucedidos em áreas de interesse mútuo, incluindo distúrbios neurológicos e acidente vascular cerebral.
